ESBC Week 3: Blanket Roll

The above gif should say it all. Your dog has to roll themselves (burrito style) into a blanket. This one might require teaching more than 1 command depending on how you tackle it.

You guys, I was really proud of how many corgis participated in the weekly challenge! It is fun teaching your corgi a new trick (and at times, really frustrating). But once they have it, you AND your poopster feel really great. 

Sit pretty might be hard for the long ones out there. Pudge still doesn’t really have the muscle strength to “sit pretty” after months of trying (he’s really, really long). But he’s getting it! So don’t give up! Good luck!

In honor of Dog Training month, Sawyer and Emma are issuing out a challenge to our fellow Bloggers and Furbuddies - Join us in a TRAIN-OFF!

How This Works: First, Go to the Poll and vote on the tricks. The top 4 will be selected, and for the next 4 weeks, we will issue out a “challenge”. The following Sunday after each issued challenge, post your progress and videos! Very simple!

At the end of the month, we will take another vote on the cutest/most accomplished dog and send out a prize!

I started this challenge with Pudge today. He got it. But not with just a command, with me shoving delicious lamb loaf into his snout. It’s HARD to get a corgi to bow without them plopping their butts down! Legs so short! BODY SO LONG!

The reflections on Cannon Beach were pretty phenomenal, so it wasn’t too difficult to get good shots of the dogs on the beach.

This was taken toward the end of our stent at the beach, and Anubis was still full of pent-up energy.
