A Ham in Any Season (by Goro!)

Here are some of your new CL’s (corgi ladies):

Machete Corgéz’s corgmama - Machete is known for his excellent “bench faces” and his mahm is super knowledgeable about everything corg related. She posts Corgi Friday’s with Machete approves of awesome corgi blogs you should follow. Machete is starting out and showing he is a true zen master in obedience!

Emma The Bean’s Corgmama - Emma is a beautiful corg from Texas. Her mahm is an expert in feeding her corg a completely raw diet. Emma also participates in agility. She also excels at mud rolling competitions (where she is the only entry and winner). She is the bestest and the prettiest. With the muddiest feets.

Zoey & Steve's corgmama - These corgs are spoiled by their talented corgmama. Their corgmama is the one who drew the new CorgiAddict logo! Zoey has the most expressive face and Steve is the residential loveable doofball. Zoey wants you to know, she gets treats first.

Gatsby & Scout's corgmama - Their corgmama is super talented in the realm of making fashionable corg wear. Gatsby and Scout are mas famoso corgis on their own accord, and both are agility corgs! Gatsby is a hamkrakken out on the course and turned himself from Fatsby to Fitsby! Scout is… working on the whole agility thing.

And there are a few other corgi ladies who prefer to remain anonymous. Their help is always appreciated!

Can’t wait to see what happens!

new CAs

Darling Corgi Addicts,

My name is Deanna, and some of you know me better as Pudge’s corgmama or “CA”. I have been mostly running this blog solo for the past 4 years with the occasional help from Dr. Dr. Pikachu.

A few weeks ago, I invited some Corgi Ladies to help me out with the facebook page and I really loved it. They even motivated me to pay a little more attention to the FB page (where I mainly ignored it for… years). I got a lot of positive feedback on the improvement of the FB page. I would like to improve the website and tumblr. I just can’t keep up because Real Life.

So.

I will no longer be your one and only CA. There will be others. They will bring you more corgs. More corgis = more happy.

We still want you to know we make no money off of the corgis posted. This is and always will be an ad-free domain. We will never use your videos or pictures on other websites like Sulia where money can be made. We will always try to credit and source the right corgi. We do this because we love corgis and the whole world should know about these awesome dogs. There is no agenda beyond that.

You can still message me personally at Pudge’s blog (aka “poopster" or "instapudge”). Or here, I’ll see it!

I’ll let the others introduce themselves if they’d like.

Peace, love and corgis,

Deanna (and Pudge too!)

First on behalf of Nicole (Emma’s mom) and myself, I just wanted to congratulate everyone that has participated in ESBC so far. The first week was super successful and it was great to see everyone’s pups improve through-out the week. Great job, everyone!
Challenge Two: Sit Pretty
Some Resources:
Expert Village - Sit Pretty
Zak George - Sit Pretty
Clicker Training Tutorials - Sit Pretty w/ clicker
If you run into trouble - post or ask a question on Tumblr! If we can’t help, someone out there will know!
Tips: Remember to keep training sessions short (no longer than 15 minutes) and fun! This is play for everyone.
How You Can Show Off on Sunday:
If you have Tumblr, and are going to upload to your blog. Please use the tag: ESBC . We have been liking and reblogging all the posts using that particular tag and will continue to do so through-out the challenge.
If you don’t have Tumblr, we will turn on Submit on Sunday so that you can post to Emma or us a link/pictures/video of your tricks. If you want you can also leave a comment on Disqus

You guys, I was really proud of how many corgis participated in the weekly challenge! It is fun teaching your corgi a new trick (and at times, really frustrating). But once they have it, you AND your poopster feel really great.
Sit pretty might be hard for the long ones out there. Pudge still doesn’t really have the muscle strength to “sit pretty” after months of trying (he’s really, really long). But he’s getting it! So don’t give up! Good luck!

Dearest Darlingest Corgiest of Addicts,
You all have no idea how much I love being CA. Every single day you all amaze me with such wonderful submissions, amazing thoughtful emails, creative ideas and fantastic challenging questions. I LOVE hosting this tumblr and I LOVE interacting with all of you. I am so sorry life is crazy right now and I am behind on posting quite a few pictures and responding a few emails.
BUT! Without further delay I present to you … the dancing corgi lobster duo. When I saw it on my droid while out in the car with my family getting the turkey — I shrieked with such delight I almost caused an accident.  I was so surprised, amazed and touched that this awesome totally ridiculous corgi dancing with lobster celebration landed in my inbox. In my eyes — it’s perfect. I didn’t know it was exactly what I wanted until I saw it. I hope you guys giggle just like I did.

PS - there are FOUR corgi + lobster dance moves, 2x2, scroll down to see the pair on the right.
MOAR about the dancing lobster corgi duo artist:
My name is Angela Kau-Forsberg.  I was born in Milwaukee and seem to be migrating northeast the last 7 years. I graduated from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a BA Fine Arts. My husband and I married November 29, 2009 and we are about to celebrate our 26th birthdays together on January 9 — we are 7 hours apart in age! Recently, my husband was laid off and currently we are both unemployed. Although I do have my shop, Unlimited Glass Works, on etsy (with an awesome Corgi claws painting for sale!).
I draw, paint, sculpt corgis because of two reasons: growing up I fell in love with Ein from Cowboy Bebop, and my mother had a Dachshund/Corgi mix named Trudi that acted VERY corgi like.
Someday, when my life is stable, we will have a corgi of our very own. Until then, I will just keep making corgis (not that I would stop making them once I have my own corgi). The site where I display my general work is http://caresse-par-la-lumie.deviantart.com/. I mostly do what makes me happy.
