Next Friday the newest (and final!!) member of our family will be coming home. He is a Magnoya/Notts baby and if he’s anything like Thingamajig then he should be a pretty easy puppy :) Currently we’re thinking his name will be “Circuit” but we haven’t totally settled on it yet.
I said I wouldn’t post about him before he arrived but I’m way too excited to contain it anymore. I’m sure my Mom will have a good chuckle when she sees this! :) I gave in, I’m weeeeak!!
they look innocent, but 2 seconds after i snapped the photo, Belle grabbed the ball and ran with it! Marco never saw it coming..
it was a perfect spring day to be a cardigan!
Locked and loaded!
Rainy day blues… (and brindles!)
Tess, I think you’re doing the sofa pillow thing wrong. Just my observation…
I love that Tess is like extra splooty.
Aw, Tempe is two weeks out from her three year old birthday—- and I had a pretty neat question in my inbox about how butterfly noses (a mottled pink and black nose) on merles fill in over the years in some dogs. Often by the time the dog is five or six, the nose goes completely black. I hope it doesn’t, I love her nose (and it’s slowed down a lot in the last six months….) but here’s a quick set of photos to how her nose has filled in over the years!
Also, yes… she loves to dig. As you can tell by her dirty little nose in some of these pictures!
Aww this is cool! And neat! AND PRETTY!
… can you find baby Simon? ;) REALLY baby Simon? He’s one day old here.
Photograph courtesy of his breeder. <3
Omg a whole litter of blues and a tri? LOOK AT THE WEE POTATOES! They aren’t even corgis yet! Just wee potatoes!!
Simon is… the third head from the bottom? Laying on top of the other blue next to the tri?? IS THAT BABIEST SIMON!?
Even Alton Brown’s Corgi is begging for food. Then again, I’d be begging for Alton Brown’s food, too! :)
I am still gushing. And still cannot believe I got to meet Simon and his amazing corgmama. I’ve been following Simon since he was a wee one starting on mycorgi and deviant art, then seeing her photography at the Cardigan National in Houston. Simon is the first Cardigan that I fell in love with, head over heels about 4-5 years ago. And the Cardi Crew got me interested in the breed. So happy I got to meet them. As you can see, I was out with not one but two beautiful blue merles. Story is so snorgable! I totally hit the corgi jackpot yesterday. Everyone wanted to say hi to these babies.
Know what I love about Corgi people? They totally all laugh when your dog starts barking at the top of his lungs since he’s so delighted to meet. <3 That and… Corgi people are the best people. You feel totally comfortable around them in five seconds and in ten seconds you’re all covered in dog hair and talking about awesome coffee and places to go!!
You guys are the best… <3 Thank you for making Si’s whole day (and mine too! XD) It’s neat when everything comes full circle and you meet folks and dogs who have been a big part of your life (and yes, I consider Tumblr friends and their dogs a life! <3 XD ) I am so delighted to have finally spent time with you —- and hopefully your ears will stop ringing with Simon’s barks. ;)
… there’s a reason he’s named Simon Sez, it’s not because he has a volume switch at times! XD <3
Also, a shout out to one of Simon’s followers who said hello in Seattle! <3 You made me just grin with erasing your friend’s wedding pic so that you could take a picture of him! XD <3
Sam’s derp is in full effect this afternoon!
Lazy Saturday snooze after a long walk in the park.
