this little buggers are called “hitchhikers” around here.. they are the seed pods of spanish needle plant, which is lovely during the Spring, but miserable when dried. they act exactly like velcro - attaching to just about anything, especially anything low to the ground.
Belle is expert at collecting them.

I took the dogs to a local park today. I let Fidet go off the leash for a bit, and she was super happy about that and rolled around in the grass and made a mess out of herself. Only there for like 20-30 minutes because it’s so sticky-nasty-hot in North Carolina. Yuck.
