How long have you been addicted to corgis? I have been addicted to corgis for over 6 years.
What started the addiction? It started with either belly up puppy or corgi with tongue in peanut butter jar. I can’t remember which came first.

Since then, I started saving random corgi pictures. But I never intended to come out of the closet with my addiction.
Why start Corgi Addict? A good friend who is both amused and horrified by the vastness of my collection suggested I started a photo blog as a way to “share the happiness” that corgis bring me.
This blog is a “pet” project of mine. I NEVER plan on making a profit off it it. The ‘profit’ I make off of this blog is in happiness. I LOVE being “the” CA! I love my submissions! I love all of my lovely conversations with you darling corgi addicts! This has been nothing but reward and fun for me! Something I really don’t get much of.
Why don’t you own a corgi? What’s wrong with you!? Unfortunately, I had to put off corgi ownership for the past 6 years. I wanted to be the best corgi mommy an addict can be. So I was promised by Dr. Corgreud a deal — when I was done with purgatory my semi-permanent student career, my reward would be my very own corgi puppy. I’ve been working hard for the corgi, oh so hard for the corgi.
When do you get your own corgi? In less than 10 months, ETA Poopster arrival date: June 1, 2011!! I will be corgi’d (the proposal with a corgi puppy instead of a silly diamond ring). And upon acceptance of the corgi, I will be granted the title of DOCTOR Corgi Addict, be corgi’d to Dr. Corgreud, and a corgi mommy ALL at once. (the corgi is very very powerful)
What will you name your corgi? I change daily on what I want to name the corgi. I am currently down to: Pookie, Piggeh, or Pono.
How do you pick the corgis to post? I queue nearly every post that comes in immediately if it’s tagged and formatted correctly. Right now the queue is set up to post 5-6 corgis a day and about 60 corgis long. I usually post more corgis from the queue depending how many submissions I get in a day. It can take anywhere from an hour to 2 weeks to get the corgi posted. I try to be fair!
How many corgis do you want? I want all of them. Dr. Corgreud will let me have 3. After I get my Pemmie, we will enjoy corgi poopsterdom, and then start looking for the perfect Cardi. I prefer a Blue Merle, since this will be “his” corgi, he gets to pick which puppy he would like best. After we get adjusted to life with 2 corgis, we would like to be a foster family for rescue corgis in the future. That’s my 10 year plan and I’m sticking to it!
Corgis are diverse and amazing creatures, what do you plan on doing with your herd of corgis? My life goal is to get them all into lobster costumes and take them for a walk on a day that isn’t Halloween.
What is your favorite kind of corgi? I used to be only about the tan colored ones. But then I found fluffies. And after fluffies I found the blue merle cardigans irresistible. And now I basically love all corgis, all flavors, indiscriminately!
Why corgis? A complicated question. I love their little legs, big paws, and ginormous ears. I love that they can herd, they do agility, and can make excellent therapy dogs. They are big dogs with big hearts and no legs. They are also a relatively healthy breed — bred for centuries to be healthy! Also look the cutest in lobster costumes.
What’s with the lobster costumes and where can I get one? I can’t really explain it. I don’t really know why or how… but I’m pretty sure Target is to blame. They make or made THE lobster costume which I can now only find off of ebay. I believe a full grown corgi is a size medium. I think corgis look great in lobster costumes and apparently the rest of the entire internet agrees!!
Will you help me get a corgi/find me a corgi/reccomend a breeder? No. Let me tell you, finding the ‘perfect breeder’ is hard work. And if you want to buy a corgi responsibly you will do the work. Trust me. This may be the easiest part of corgi pwnership! An AKC bred companion corgi by a reputable breeder with all the paperwork and genetic tests, will cost you between $500-900. A cardigan corgi costs more — $800-1500. These are just estimates from what I’ve seen personally.
Any other questions?
